About Hypnosis
Experience the power of hypnosis to enhance your well-being and achieve your goals with Columbus Ohio Hypnosis.
What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a normal and natural state we move in and out of in everyday life.
If you have ever zoned out while driving, watching television, listening to music, or working on something, it is highly likely you drifted into a light state of hypnosis.
The scientific term often used to describe hypnosis is the “alpha-theta state,” referring to patterns of brain-wave activity associated with focused relaxation. Our subconscious mind influences impulses, habits, automatic behaviors, motivations, and emotions.
During hypnosis, you gain more direct access to those subconscious patterns. This allows you to help reprogram the subconscious to work more effectively with the conscious mind, bringing more of your mind into alignment with your goals.
How Effective Is Hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy is designed to help people create meaningful change efficiently by working directly with automatic thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
“For psychoanalysis we can expect a recovery rate of 38% after approximately 600 sessions. For behavioral therapy, 72% after an average of 22 sessions. For hypnotherapy, 93% after an average of 6 sessions.”

Can I Be Hypnotized?
Did you know that the smarter you are, the more hypnotizable you may be? Most people are surprised by that.
The ability to enter hypnosis depends partly on each person’s unique learning and processing style. That is one reason group hypnosis may not work equally well for everyone.
Research generally shows that most people can experience hypnosis to some degree. Working one-on-one with an experienced hypnotist allows the process to be adapted to you, which may make it faster and more effective.
What Is It Like to Be Hypnotized?
The process is similar in some ways to guided meditation or daydreaming.
After assessing your learning style, your Master Hypnotist gently guides you into hypnosis using verbal cues and processes. You sit back, relax, and listen to the instructions.
Unlike meditation, you do not need to completely quiet your mind for hypnosis to be effective. Mental chatter is common and often surprises people.
People may experience sensations such as lightness, heaviness, tingling, focused awareness, or deep relaxation. In deeper states, your mind may seem to wander elsewhere before you return feeling refreshed and relaxed.
